  • Knitting for Beginners – Technique Class
    If you have never held a pair of needles in your hands or if you are looking to freshen up your skills, sign up for this class. We will teach you everything you need to get started on a long and satisfying knitting career. This is a 2-session class and each session is 2 hours … We will cover casting on, knitting, purling and binding off. This class will also include a “How to Knit” booklet published by The National NeedleArts Association. Please note that this is not a project class, we will simply be practicing the basics of beginner knitting.

    Materials: Light color worsted weight yarn that is wound and ready to knit and US7 or US8 needles.

  • Two-At-A-Time Fingerless Mitts – Project Class
    Learn how to avoid the dreaded “single sock” syndrome! This class will introduce you to knitting two-at-a-time in the round, a time-saving technique for socks, gloves, mittens and slippers – anything that you need two of. Instruction in Magic Loop and constructing a thumb gusset will also be provided. While learning the techniques, you will make a pair of fingerless mitts. This is a 3-session class and each session is 2 hours. Advanced Beginner knitting skills are needed for this class … We will be casting on, knitting in the round, purling, increasing and binding off. We greatly appreciate you purchasing your class supplies with KnitKnit, it helps us be able to offer you these types of fun and fresh classes.

    Materials: Simple Fingerless Mitts by Tinks, 150 yards of a DK yarn, US4 circular needles with 40” cable, US4 circular needles with 24” cable, stitch markers, row counter and a tapestry needle.

  • Reading Charts/Lace Cowl - Project Class
    This spiffy little cowl will introduce you to reading charts and what all those Xs and Os really mean. This is a 2-session, 2 hours per session class. We will begin with casting on, reading and understanding the chart, the second class will provide you time and assistance with fixing any mistakes that might have happened and giving you some blocking tips to give your cowl that polished look. Intermediate Beginner knitting skills are needed for this class. We greatly appreciate you purchasing your class supplies with KnitKnit, it helps us be able to offer you these types of fun and fresh classes.

    Materials: Lan Su Garden Cowl by Katherine Leek, 150 yards of worsted weight yarn, US10 needles, tapestry needle and highlighter tape.

  • Toph Hat – Project Class
    This has to be the MOST popular sample I have ever knit for KnitKnit CDA and now it is a class. This is a serious class that requires solid intermediate knitting skills. We will be using such techniques as provisional cast on, Kitchener stitch and German short rows … you don’t need to know how to do those things but you need to be confident enough in your knitting skills to want to learn them. This pattern is brilliantly written, provides great tutorials and so much fun to knit. We greatly appreciate you purchasing your class supplies with KnitKnit, it helps us be able to offer you these types of fun and fresh classes.

Classes are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first served basis. To sign up please call us or stop by the shop where the class is being held.

All classes and workshops require payment in full upon registration. Students must call 48 hours in advance if they are unable to attend a class and may rebook for another class or receive a store credit. No refunds are issued for missed classes. If we cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund.

We do not offer make-ups or credit for missed classes. Out of respect to your instructor and classmates, we kindly ask that you be on time.

Classes begin promptly at the advertised time. Please arrive a few minutes early to make sure you have the necessary supplies. Yarn sold in a hank or skein must be wound into a ball before class.

Yarn and other supplies for all classes are available at KnitKnit, the Studio and can be purchased any time before the class begins. Just make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to fondle all the yarn. Registered students receive 10% off all class supplies.
