    Join Kris for a Saturday full of fun and fiber … celebrating the 2nd anniversary of The Studio! The festivities begin at 10am until 3pm. This is the perfect time to see all the beautiful knitted sweaters and pick up the yarns to make your own. Custom colorway by Oh! Loops and fade kits will also be available. A not to be missed trunk show from Hana Lei Hand Dyed from Kauai will also be debuted.

    Alexandra is making her debut at KnitKnit CDA!!! We could not be more excited. Saturday, Alexandra will be teaching a 2 at a time, magic loop sock class from 10am until 2pm.

  • Knitting for Beginners – Technique Class
    If you have never held a pair of needles in your hands or if you are looking to freshen up your skills, sign up for this class. We will teach you everything you need to get started on a long and satisfying knitting career. This is a 2-session class and each session is 2 hours … We will cover casting on, knitting, purling and binding off. This is a technique class we will not be completing any project. This class also includes a copy of “How to Knit” by TNNA. Class minimum is 2.

    Materials: Light color worsted weight yarn that is wound and ready to knit and US7 or US8 needles.

  • Toe Up Socks
    This class will teach you to knit toe up socks, one at a time. Materials required are size 1 needles ... We use 2 circulars needles with a cable length of 16" or 24" cable. This is an intermediate knitting skills class.

    The first session of Sock Class will be about the Turkish Cast On and working through the toe increases and the gusset increases. The second class will be about turning the heel and the third session is all about the stretchy cast off and finishing your sock. 10% off all class materials. Class minimum 3 – maximum 6.

    Materials: You will need 2 size #1 circular needles preferably one metal and one bamboo.

  • SOCKS WITHOUT A PATTERN
    Learn to knit socks without using a pattern. Ratios and mnemonic devices will help you understand sock construction in a way that will free you from stressing over the fit. Students need to be familiar with knitting socks and their needles of choice in circular knitting.

    Materials: 1 skein of yarn in a fingering or sport weight wool base. The yarn needs to be a solid or tonal color with a smooth finish. 1 set of needles suitable for the chosen yarn. Double points, 2 circulars or magic loop are all acceptable but make sure you are fluent in your choice.

  • Brioche Cowl Class
    In this class you will learn the basics of the 2-color brioche stitch in the round. Printed pattern is included and you will receive 10% off all class materials. Class minimum 3 – maximum 6.

    Materials: DK or Sport Weight Yarn … 2 skeins of 2 different high contrast colors. Kris suggests using one Crazy Yarn and a solid contrasting color. Circular needles in 16” or 24” cables – 1 size larger than recommended for yarn. Stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, scissors, pencil/pen, notepad, highlighter tape.

  • “Your Choice” Sweater Class
    This class is designed for the beginner to the advanced knitter. You will learn how to measure for a proper fit, how to find the correct yarn and needle for your particular sweater, finishing and blocking. When you sign up, we will help you find the perfect pattern for you or you can bring a pattern you have been wanting to knit. 10% off all class materials. Class minimum 3 – maximum 6.

    This is the beyond your basic sock class. You will take Kris’ basic toe up sock and learn how to add texture, lace or colorwork. Taking your sock skills to the next level … Basic Toe Up Sock printed pattern is included and 10% off all class materials. Class minimum 3 – maximum 6.

  • Tunisian Crochet Entrelac Pillow Cover
    Learn to make the Simple Stitch in Tunisian Crochet and create a pillow using the Entrelac technique. Tunisian Crochet could be described as a cross between crochet and knitting.
    Students need to be familiar with creating a foundation chain and a slip knot.

    Materials: 2 skeins of yarn in a Sport or DK weight wool base. The yarn needs to be solid color and have a smooth finish. 1 crochet hook in a size bigger than the yarn calls for. You do not need a Tunisian hook for this class.

Classes are limited in size and are filled on a first-come, first served basis. To sign up please call us or stop by the shop where the class is being held.

All classes and workshops require payment in full upon registration. Students must call 48 hours in advance if they are unable to attend a class and may rebook for another class or receive a store credit. No refunds are issued for missed classes. If we cancel a class, you’ll receive a full refund.

We do not offer make-ups or credit for missed classes. Out of respect to your instructor and classmates, we kindly ask that you be on time.

Classes begin promptly at the advertised time. Please arrive a few minutes early to make sure you have the necessary supplies. Yarn sold in a hank or skein must be wound into a ball before class.

Yarn and other supplies for all classes are available at KnitKnit, the Studio and can be purchased any time before the class begins. Just make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to fondle all the yarn. Registered students receive 10% off all class supplies.
